    Beschreibung

    Der erfahrene Officer Ray Mandel und sein neuer Partner Nick Holland sind gemeinsam auf Streife in Los Angeles. Für Nick ist es der erste Einsatz überhaupt. Für Ray wiederum ist es die erste Nacht als Begleitung eines Anfängers. Der Polizeifunk schickt die beiden von einem Einsatz zum nächsten, doch je weiter die Nacht voranschreitet, desto mehr versinkt die Stadt im Chaos. Zwei Polizistenmörder sind auf der Flucht und ein skrupelloser Cop durchkämmt die Straßen auf der Suche nach Vergeltung. Noch bevor seine erste Schicht vorbei ist, muss Nick erkennen, dass es Wahnsinn und Gewaltbereitschaft auf beiden Seiten des Gesetzes gibt. Und er begreift, was es wirklich heißt, ein Cop zu sein.
