    Beschreibung

    Der junge Chirurg Shaun Murphy, gespielt von Freddie Highmore ("Bates Motel"), gibt sein ruhiges Landleben auf und nimmt eine Stelle in einem renommierten und großen Stadtkrankenhaus an, dem San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital.

    Murphy unterscheidet sich nicht nur aufgrund seines Alters von seinen Kollegen - er ist ein Autist, der aufgrund des Savant-Syndroms als Genie gilt.

    Auf sich alleine gestellt und unfähig persönliche Kontakte in seinem Umfeld aufzubauen, nutzt er seine außergewöhnlichen Begabungen, um Leben zu retten und sich vor seinen skeptischen Kollegen zu behaupten.
